The MUD game runs on a server on the internet. You need the internet address
(URL) or IP numbers and a port number to connect to. I am using Genesis Muds
dot-com; so rom.genesismuds.com 4422 where 4422 is the port number. To connect you need a MUD client. I will post links to download several here, with a connection for Realms of Myst already set up. You can also search the web for other MUD clients. And most basically, you can forgo a client and connect with telnet - but I do not reccommend that. The clients below are for Windows. G-mud is a small, easy to use client that lets you use function key macros.
MUSHClient is a more complex program that allows macros, timers, triggers,
scripts, and a lot of functions.
Download one of these archives (Gmud or mushclient, zip or tarball) using
the links below and extract it with an archive handling program (like winzip
or wintar, tar, gzip, etc.) Put the program folder somewhere (such as in
"Program Files") and make a shortcut to the .exe file
